Bill (MAC) McKissick - Spent a full year in country working out of Camp Evans, Vietnam. I was a member of the 101st Airbourne Division. My unit was Charlie Company 3rd\187th inf. 2nd Platoon, 2nd Squad. Our unit was most noted for the battle now knows as Vietnam's Hamberger Hill where hundreds were lost.

After several months, experiences and campaignes, I was chosen to be part of what was know as the BAT Team. We worked as a six man independant unit traveling from hamet to hamet training and arming the locals to protect themselves and their communities.

On a good note: I spent my entire military experience with a guy named Johnny Smithey. Johnny was from North Carolina where we diid our basic training. We actually did nearly everything together from basic training to AIT, to being put into the same company, platoon and squad. We even took our R&R together in Bancock, Thailand and then flew (safely) home. Johnny is married, has a daughter and still lives in NC. I however moved from Philadelphia, Pa. many years ago to live and raise my family in Mount Laurel, NJ.

As of Oct 2010 I am now in contact with another friend from Vietnam, Gary Noble. That's so nice to see the guys are still around and hopefully doing well.
